WTF NewsPanda Bites Idiot, who wanted a hug!
BEIJING - A college student in southern China just needed a hug, but he probably shouldn't have picked a panda for his warm and fuzzy moment. Instead of a hug, the panda bit the student after he broke into the animal's zoo enclosure. A park employee said the student was visiting the zoo with classmates when he jumped the 6.5-foot-high fence around the panda's habitat.
The park was virtually deserted at the time.
The employee said the student was bitten in the arms and legs by the panda, named Yang Yang. Two foreign visitors who saw the attack ran to get help then laughed their asses off. The official Xinhua News Agency reports the hospitalized student later said the panda was so cute and cuddly he never expected to be bitten. Thats like putting your hand in some flames, not thinking it will be hot. What an idiot. Strange, but not as strange as this: Police arrested a 24-year-old man Sunday who allegedly scaled two zoo fences and slapped a camel at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California. Police say Christopher Allen was detained by park security but soon escaped and ran from the park with his friends, according to the Associated Press. Police finally caught up with Allen and arrested him and the alleged driver of his getaway car, Chrissy Thatcher. Earlier reports that the man punched the camel were incorrect, Discovery Kingdom officials said. The man allegedly slapped the camel in the face.
Dakar, a 1½-year-old one-hump male camel, was upset but uninjured by the incident, said officials at the San Francisco Bay Area amusement park/marine park/zoo."We found Dakar one hour later, just sitting in a corner crying to himself." The 660-pound dromedary shares an enclosure with two adult Bactrian camels — a 17-year-old, 2,200-pound male named Jake and a 12-year-old, 1,600-pound female named Tian. Christopher later told police, "I only wanted a kiss, but the damn camel kept spitting at me as I moved in for some lip action." The amusement park plans to add additional security personnel around the camel exhibit to prevent copycat slappings.
There is also the story of the man who tried to milk a Rhino, but that is another story........
